Edge of a lifetime

Psalm 73:25-26 - Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

CH

You found me at the edge of a lifetime

You took this wounded soul and brought me home

I refused to even listen, then You broke my heart in two

You accept me as I am . . .

In the stars I see Your grace . . .

Now I want to know Your story, I love You

V1

I was living at the edge of a lifetime, then a gentle hand of mercy pulled me through

Living life without a purpose like it was mine, never loving, never thinking Lord of You

Looking over all the cliffs of my destruction, there I stood so confused, I’d lost my way

Then You turned my very soul from the deception, You’re my Love of every lifetime, all my days

V2

I was hungry but my heart would not surrender, You were there waiting, patient, by my side

When my eyes were blinded by this world’s desires, Your love satisfied my soul and changed the tide

I was younger, all that mattered was the moment, climbing ladders of success that had no peace

And I sacrificed all things that had a meaning, then I woke up, turned a corner, found release

V3

I want to live my life without regretting, that I only ever chose to place the blame

Looking back I want to know I fought the good fight, as I ran the race escaping from the flames

Now I hunger for the depth of life You give me, and I long for the eternal dance, I thirst

No more emptiness inside, I have a purpose, earth has nothing I desire of any worth
