The Miracle Of Who You Really Are

Copyright December 2004 Ruth L. Berkheimer and Dave Kurtz

V1

Candles in the window, garland on the hearth

As for Christmas decorations, I’m off to a good start

So why don’t I feel happy, if the season’s almost here

For although my house is ready, I’m not sure about my heart

V2

I long for Christmas of the past for loved ones who are gone

If it weren’t for the children Lord, don’t think I could go on.

Help me catch the magic of those days that fast have drifted by

And see the season once again through my children’s excited eyes

Chorus

Touch me, hold me, show me through your mercy

Fill me and uphold me

Help me to see clearly

The miracle of who You really are

V3

With simple great anticipation let me wait as children do

Not for gifts or Santa Claus, but only Lord for You

Let me stop for just a moment, to set some time apart

To remember why you came to earth and came into my heart.
